The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop reveals the role of Faith Newman has been recast with actress Reylynn Caster. Her first airdate is set for April 12.
This news shouldn’t come as a big surprise to viewers. Alyvia Alyn Lind, who currently portrays the character, was recently cast in the Syfy Channel series Chucky.
The good news for fans is this means Faith will survive the accident she was in. On Monday, Faith stole a truck from the Newman Ranch, after drinking a bottle of tequila. This week, she’ll be lying in a hospital bed with her parents beside her, praying for her recovery.

Viewers were hoping writers weren’t going to repeat 2005 and kill off the character, like they did when Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) passed away. Happily, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will not have to suffer the heartbreak of losing another daughter.

Lind has been portraying Faith since 2013 and has landed many other roles since then. She played Dolly Parton in Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors and Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle Of Love. The actress has also had recurring roles on TV shows Future Man and Transparent.
Caster is certainly no slouch herself. She’s been featured on the TV series The Big Show Show, American Housewife and Me, Myself And I, among others.

She passed her good news on to fans through her Twitter account this afternoon. “I’m so happy to be joining the cast of “The Young and The Restless” and to step into the role of Faith Newman!” Caster posted.
Fans were quick to congratulate the actress on her new role and welcomed her to the Y&R. “Wait, what?!” one fan commented. “This is hugely exciting news!!!” Another fan told her she was “an amazing and talented actress.”
